Dr. Sarah Tamai, D.C.
Dr. Sarah is the founder of Fire Mountain Spine & Rehabilitation Center. She graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College West in 1999, and opened a clinic in San Ramon, Costa Rica where she practiced for over a year. Dr. Sarah then returned to California where she has been practicing for over 10 years. She has had extensive post graduate training and certifications in Pettibon Systems, Active Release Technique, Activator Technique, SOT Technique, Electro-diagnostics, Masterpiece Training Camp and Animal Adjusting Technique. Dr. Sarah enjoys surfing, running, practicing yoga and spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Dr. Leah Johnson, D.C.
Dr. Leah is a graduate of California State University Long Beach where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Science, allowing her to connect and integrate the foundations of kinesiology and biomechanics with dance. As a dancer of 22 years, Dr. Leah has created an outstanding technical and artistic foundation in a variety of styles including Contemporary, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Tap, and Modern. Dr. Leah’s personal experience in navigating various injuries and managing a spinal condition as a competitive dancer drives her passion to provide high quality health care to all dancers and athletes alike. Her background as a dancer and patient of Dr. Sarah’s for 12 years ultimately inspired her to pursue a career in the conservative health care field. Dr. Leah graduated with her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Southern California University of Health Sciences in Fall of 2021. Throughout her clinical experience, Dr. Leah had the opportunity to work in a variety of sports medicine and general population clinical settings to develop and expand her clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of various neuromusculoskeletal injuries and conditions. While pursuing her Doctorate in Chiropractic, Dr. Leah also obtained her certification as a Personal Trainer. As an advocate of learning & growth, Dr. Leah values post-graduate education and is currently working on acquiring her CCSP as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. Dr. Leah’s philosophy of care consists of a patient-centered approach based on the individual and their specific health & wellness goals. Her individualized chiropractic treatment plans involve a combination of hands-on manual therapy coupled with rehabilitation exercises to improve mobility, strength, and conditioning. Her goal as a conservative care provider is to instill confidence in her patients’ ability to recover from injury, manage their conditions, and move & exercise pain-free. Whether you are a high level athlete or simply looking to enjoy daily activities pain-free, Dr. Leah focuses on getting her patients back to doing what they love to do. She believes her role as a practitioner is to guide, mentor, empower, and educate patients in order to provide them the tools to remain healthy and active.
